Burberry

Today, I am going to share about  BURBERRY. It is a brand that I suppose all of us know of. Its been a high sort after brand that most of us would want to own.

In my opinion Burberry is a very classic and classy brand that has many wonderful products, be it, bags, apparel or wallets. You name it, they have it. It is well kown for its trademark check pattern found in most of its products. 

Actually Burberry became really famous for its iconic trench coat which was invented by its founder- Thomas Burberry. 

It is a more affordable brand compared to hermes or LV, though it may still seem a little pricey, but its well worth it. If given a chance, I would want to own a Burberry collar shirt:  

It may look plain, but its the details that make it different from the other shirts that you see. You have a plain white shirt but a the same time its the checks that makes the shirt stand out and "shine".

Most of the time, burberry lovers go for its bags and apparels and not so much for its wallets. If I had a choice, I would get a wallet from other brands rather than burberry, as the quality is not as good compared to other brands that you see.

Hermes

This week's brand noose! I have chosen a really really high end brand to talk about. For those who are not sure what it is, the logo of it is a carriage with a horse(well, the description I gave may make it sound like COACH), the logo is here:

Yes, as the picture suggests, it is Hermes. Many of you may pronounce it as "her-meese", actually its actual pronunciation should be "air-mess".

This brand is established in 1837 and specializes in high fashion leather goods. The leather goods in its production line are all very exquisite and luxurious looking.

Probably the reason why it is so expensive may be due to the reason that all bags are handmade. Each inch of leather and the buckle that come along with it, are all hand sewn into a bag that you see in the boutiques.

Hermes is so famous mainly due to two types of bags that they sell, one is the "Kelly Bag" and the other is its "Birkin Series".

These are the two series of bags that pushed this high fashion brand into its world of fame.

Personally, I would prefer the Birkin bags! If you haven seen it before, i suggest you take a look in their website and you'll know why it is so famous and popular among the rich.

Just another piece of info, for birkin series, they can only produce about 20 odd bags per year, because buyers can choose the type of leather they want to use, the type of buckle and the type of custom designs they wish to add and on top of that, everything is handmade.

Due to this, currently, their waiting list for birkin bags, is about 3 years now.

You may think it is a very long time to wait for just a bag, but when birkin bags were so in demand, their longest waiting list was up to 6 years! Crazy isn't it. But, i feel that good things are worth the wait.

Well, but this kind of over-luxurious items are not for me because one bag alone costs at least THIRTEEN THOUSAND Singapore Dollars!

Kate Spade & Jack Spade

This week, I would like to talk about Kate Spade. Not sure if everyone knows about this brand but its very famous in Europe areas.

This brand was founded by Kate and Andy Spade who are now husband and wife. Its first boutique was set up in  New York,1993.

Ladies should really take a good look in their boutique. The reason why I'm saying this is that, they have really nice products. You may just come across a thing or two that you really like.

I came across this brand while I was in my secondary school days. It captured my attention due to its vibrant colors.  This brand is very daring and innovative in its designs and colors used. Due to these factors, Kate Spade became widely known in New York and started advancing into the global market.

Well, if you were to take a walk in orchard areas, you probably would see many working adults carrying Kate Spade's monogram handbags, because its designs are very fresh and yet its suitable for formal places like a workplace.

The prices of Kate Spade products are not so extreme compared to the previous brands that I've mentioned, for handbags. It mainly starts from S$400/+ that may be another reason why some working adults choose to get Kate Spade products as they're at an affordable range and yet its designs are modern.

For readers out there who have no idea where the boutique is located, it is located in the 1st level of Raffles City Centre(City Hall).

Male readers, please do not feel any despair, Kate Spade has a Male series too! However the name is not named "Kate Spade" because, the name has already suggested that it's for females (:

For male collections, it is actually named Jack Spade. This is personally, one of my hot favourite brands because of its sleek and modern design for male accessories. However, guys, I'm warning you in advance, please do not walk into the Kate Spade boutique and ask why they do not sell Jack Space products. I've tried it and was embarassing enough.

I regret to inform you that Jack Spade has no boutiques in Singapore, BUT, there's a boutique in wheelock place named "Cumulus" that sells limited Jack Spade products! Be Sure to drop by there and have a look (:

Prada

 

Prada. The name signifies style and luxury. The House of Prada is recognized worldwide for its simple and elegant fashion line creations. Prada was given its name due to its founder, Mario Prada.

As of what I know, Prada is mainly known for its simple, sleek and black nylon bags for both female and male collections since it started. Due to its signature black nylon bags, it pushed Prada to the higher end of the industry hierarchy.


I personally prefer the black nylon bags from Prada because after all, its their signature bags. Those bags are very durable and practical. On top of that, BLACK is never out of sync with fashion! Whether now or ten years down the road, black will never be outdated.


Another reason why I like the black nylon bags from Prada is also because of their designs. Its very classic whether for formal or semi-casual, it fits the way you dress perfectly!(well, of course, you don't dress up in singlets and boxers when you go out) It's so easy to match what you wear because its black! Lovely, isn't it?

The price tag it contains may also cost a burn in our wallets. Costly, it may seem, but to me, I would think it's worth it for its quality. Something that would be worth your bucks as the saying goes:


It's the money you pay for the quality you get!

Gucci

For my first post, I would like to touch on one my favorite high-end brands  that all Singaporeans know of - Gucci 


Some of us may know it by the 'GG' initial which is represented by the founder of Gucci (Guccio Gucci).It has been one of the most sought after brands in the industry since the 1990s.



To me Gucci has been an absolute choice.  To put it in plain english you can say that wherever I go, I will see the word ”Gucci” or rather the handbags and wallets that people out there own.


It has been one of the most popular brands due to its craftsmenship, never-will-be outdated designs and also its reputation.


Personally, I love this brand because of its wallet for men. It has sleek designs, high quality leather and never the less, the classic Gucci monogram.


For those who do not know what Gucci monogram is, it is actually a template where u see the interlocking G initial all over the accessory(handbag/wallets) in a beige/brown velvet background.


It is definitely something to look forward to! Especially when new year is arriving, it's the time of the year again to pamper yourselves with a little something after a whole year of hard work, Don't you think so too? (;
